In this podcast your will learn about:

-cells

   -prokaryotic

   -eukaryotic

   -archaea

-YOU and all life are a collection of these

-How do they produce energy and “metabolize”?

-podcast one and mitochondrial efficiency…3 states of function…

-plant in the dark mode = mitochondrial fueled by glucose

-plant in the light mode  = mitochondria fueled by dietary fats and ketones

-light mode (alluded to but not yet) = we will discuss down the road = outside overton

-fed mode

-every cell in our bodies will function on glucose…it is the lowest common denominator

-once again, the importance of fats..it is all about the fats

-on eating we process and store fats we do not BURN them

   -AMPK is inhibited during fed

-our cells will run on what is available in fed sans fats and that is glucose with our current diet

   -we shape and re-model triglycerides

-cancer REQUIRES this mode at the cellular level

-macro and micro = anaerobic vs aerobic

-anabolic = you make cholesterol and store fats

   -“plant in the dark” mode

-“sugar” energy does NOT last long

   -“sugar” energy is poor fuel

-fasting mode

-the cellular switch that gets flipped is called AMPK

   -happens roughly 5 hours after eating/drinking a coke/energy drink

   -AMPK forward kills cancer

-AMPK forward enhances the immune system

-AMPK forward heals ALOT of diseases

-AMPK forward allow the body to kill foreign invaders better

-we BURN fats in this mode and are thereby 50x more efficient

-we use cholesterol = breakdown cholesterol to build testosterone and estrogen

-catabolic = cholesterol and fats are broken down to form chemical mediators and energy

-Holly the bear

-Intermittent Fasting

-Starvation

-Autophagy
